外教一对一的好处在于更快的帮助学生提高英语实用能力，外教的优势在于英语是他们的母语，他们可以纯感性的方式教授英语，而语言本来就是需要感性来学习的一种技能。有人说为什么我们的外教老师也讲课文很枯燥，因为那是学校的要求，他也没有办法，他只能按照学校的规定教学。但是一对一的这种形式，老师就可以尽情的发挥自己的特长，帮助学生提高实用能力，外国人其实更讲究实用主义，他们认为语言的目的在于应用，而不是搞研究。所以在一对一的课堂上，学生又有充分的表达机会，学生的能力提高的就比较快。
外教一对一的弊端，第一，费用会比大班授课的成本要高，因为本来外教老师一个人可以教上百人的课程，现在只教你一个人，所以成本肯定要高一些，但是速恩英语尽量降低学习成本，把没有必要的宣传成本，教室成本去掉。给学生一个最合理的价格，目前大部分的白领都能接受了。
外教的一对一的另一个弊端，同学之间没有一个互动，可能没有比学赶帮的气氛，虽然我们速恩英语专门从事外教一对一培训的机构，我们也不回避这个弊端，但是我们只是认为没有完美的形式，这只是一个瑕疵。

英语教学反思 ：如何消除两极分化?
分析两极分化的原因，主要来自师生两方面，综合起来有以下几种情景:
1、学生学习目的不明确。有不少学生开始学英语时是从兴趣出发，随意性和方向性程度大。他们学英语只是一阵子，一旦遇到挫折，就容易丧失兴趣和信心，知难而退，不思上进，导致成绩直线下降。
2、学生学习方法欠佳。有些学生没有掌握好正确的学习方法。如:记单词，死记硬背;练句型，生搬硬套，不注意语言环境;写句子不遵循英语习惯，强行汉译英逐句逐词对译等。
3、学生不了解学习英语的关键和要点。不少学生误以为，英语是知识型、理解型的课程，仅满足于教师讲的资料听懂了，而没有把主要精力用在听、说、读、写实践练习上，所以就无法构成语言技能，不能熟练掌握，就会边学边忘，越学越困难，最终导致掉队。
4、学生忽视了语言学习的渐进性。学习英语必须要循序渐进、扎扎实实、逐步提高。单词学不好就无法组织句子，简单句掌握不好就难学复合句，听力差就不能说好英语。如果一段时期没有抓紧，连续出现缺漏，学生继续学习英语就困难重重，掉队就难以避免。
初中英语的教学重点是基础知识和基本技能，所以教学应面向全体同学，争取做到人人基本达标。在教学过程中学生学习出现差距是不可避免的。一旦出现，就应当及时找学学生谈，分析他们掉队的原因，动之以情，晓之以理，使学生从思想上认识到学习外语的重要性。
1、教师要有高度的职责心。要对班上每一名学生负责。要异常关注中下游学生的学习，对他们所取得的点滴提高都要加以肯定，当他们出现学习困难时，随时帮忙解决。
2、端正学生的学习目的。教书育人是教师的神圣职责。教师在教学过程中，应不断引导学生明确学习目的，帮忙他们树立信心，树立远大梦想，做好克服困难的准备。
3、交给学生学习方法。教师在传授知识的同时，应注意学习方法的传授。正确的学习方法是学习成功的保证，方法掌握得越好，效率越高。如:记单词应提倡词不离句、句不离文、文不离景，也可采用同义词、近义词、反义词、同音词及派生词、衍生词等“葡萄式”记忆法。
4、教师要善于调动和爱护学生的学习英语的进取性。要不断改善教学方法，提高教学水平，把课上得生动趣味。教师首先要认真地钻研教材与教法，坚持循序渐进、精讲多练的原则，要有超前意识。在教学中，教师要预测到学生可能遇到的困难，要找出克服困难的方法，要帮忙学生顺利地学会所教资料。教师要善于创造良好的英语环境，激发学生学习英语的兴趣。教师讲课语言要生动，表情要自然，教态要和蔼，手势要恰当。
“实践出真知”。怎样教好初中英语，防止两极分化现象，以及如何解决，是无固定模式的，需要我们每一个英语教师不断的探讨、终结、反思和完善。
