Nearly all of the countries are trying hard to prevent and control air pollution. There indeed seems to be no end to tasks that environmentalists will be required to do. People will continually find new ways to control pollution.

The government should put forward some more strict laws to prevent the environment from being further polluted. And they should let people know more about the importance of environment protection. And we should find the balance between the economic growth and environmental protection. Plant more trees in the deserts and stop cutting down the forest. Forbid the factories to pour the waste water into the rivers directly. Encourage people to use public transportations to work. Both government and ordinary people should join hands together to make our home clean and fresh again. Only in this way our earth could be a better place to live in.

The quality of human life has improved greatly over the past few centuries, but Earth is being harmed more and more by human activity. As we develop our technology, we demand more from our planet. Eventually, this will harm people as well.

Our planet gives us everything we need, but natural resources are not endless. Strip mining devastates whole regions, leaving bare and useless ground. Deforestation removes old growth trees that can't be replaced. Too much fishing may harm fish populations to the point where they can't recover. We are too careless in taking what we want without giving anything back.

There are more people than ever, living longer that ever. So is it any surprise that many areas suffer from too much development? Anyone living in or near a city has experienced "urban sprawl". There is a new shopping area on every corner and new houses, townhouses and apartments everywhere. Traffic gets worse and worse because planners can't keep up with growth. Keeping up with human demand is hard enough. Environmental concerns come in last.

With growth comes pollution. Companies and communities dump waste into water. Landfills are full of trash. Emissions from factories pollute the air. Barrels of industrial waste and worse, radioactive waste, have no safe place to go. If we're not careful, we can harm our planet beyond repair.

People need to respect the Earth and try to preserve it. If we don't, what kind of future will we have?

I am honored to stand here to share with you on such a important subject as climate ,it is global warming .

Let me give you two phenomenons.

Here is the first one. More and more people used to be using air condition ，but how many people ever thought whether this new ,hobby will bring side-effects or not? Maybe just few people. In fact, the side-effect is apparent. The emissions of gases exhausted from air conditioning contain a lot of methane h could cause global warming. By the way, air conditioning will waste a lot of electricity .

The more convenience plastics brings to us, the more plastic waste is produced. This is called “white pollution” as most plastics are white. Some of our products we use every day are made of rubber, just like the tyres and the bottom part of our shoes. It’s true that rubber plays an important role in our life. 今天我演讲的题目是《让地球妈妈更美丽》。

曾记得在我幼儿时，妈妈给我描述过这样一幅画：蓝蓝的天上白云飘，白云下面马儿跑;高高的山，绿绿的草，清清的河水潺潺的流。生活在这里的人们互帮互助，亲如一家。多美的画呀!如今，每每忆起，我还是如痴如醉。现在，我已从无知幼儿成长为懵懂少年，我常去我的外婆家。外婆家在乡下，在外婆家门前有条清澈见底的小河。小的时候，我和伙伴们常在那里嬉戏、玩耍。一到夏天，一群群小蝌蚪就会在小河里自由自在地游来游去，享受这美好时光。可好景不长，近几年来那里建造了许多工厂，一些污水源源不断地排放入小河中，在加上一些家畜粪便和人们的生活垃圾不断排入，小河从此失去了它昔日的美丽。天气一热，河岸边河里的臭味常常招来一些蚊子、苍蝇到处飞，让生活在周围的人们苦不堪言。

这都是怎么造成的呢?是人们的行为不文明，不爱护环境造成的。如果人们多动一动手，多弯一弯腰，多捡一捡垃圾，一起来爱护我们的地球妈妈就不会造成这样。

再举个例子给你们听听。有一次我和妈妈去上街，在路上走着走着。突然“砰”的一声，我转头一看，原来是两辆自行车相对而行时，不知怎么的碰撞在一起，也不知谁对谁错，只见那个年纪稍大点的中年人，从地上爬起来后，赶紧对另外一人说：“对不起，对不起，是我骑的快了点!”那个年纪轻些的人从地上爬起来后，一脸怒冲冲，刚想开口骂人，听到对方这样一说，反而有点不好意思，故作没事似的说：“没关系，没关系，你下次骑车小心点!”一场剑拔弩弓的“战争”就在双方的谅解中烟消云散了。

你们看，就是因为双方的文明言语，化解了人与人间的矛盾。再回首我们身边，一批文明小天使已活跃在校园内外。马路上，小英劝妈妈不能闯红灯;公园里，童童劝阿姨不要随地吐痰;酒桌上，小杰让爸爸少喝酒，不吸烟;教室里，红领巾们弯下腰，低着头，在为环境的保洁而出力……

最让我记忆犹新的是：那是去年暑假，我与妹妹正在做小制作。妹妹把一些废纸往窗外扔，废纸随着风飘到地上。我急忙说：“不要扔了，地球妈妈会哭的。”“不用你管，我就扔!”任性的妹妹撅着嘴说。“如果每个人都这样，这世界一定脏不堪言!”“现在科学那么发达，有扫路车，怕什么?”妹妹振振有词地说。“怕地球给我们报应!你看，去年闹‘禽流感’、20xx年闹‘非典’，这都是地球给我们的报应……”听了我的这些话，妹妹低下了头说：“我这就去捡。”从此，妹妹不仅自己不乱丢垃圾，还叫别人不要乱丢垃圾。是啊!从小事做起，爱护我们的大家园吧!让文明时时伴随着我们的言行，让文明之花常开不败!同学们，行动起来吧，用我们的文明行为，让这里的天更蓝，水更清，人更美!让地球妈妈更美丽!

为了保护我们的环境，我要告诉大家：“保护环境，从我做起，从小事做起”。今天我就告诉大家几个保护环境的金点子：

1、节约用纸金点子

木材是造纸的主要原料，浪费纸张就等于砍伐森林。珍惜纸张就是在珍惜我们的森林资源。我们可以将旧练习本中未用完的纸张装订起来，做草稿本;把草稿纸写满，不要只写几个数字就扔掉。过期的挂历可以包书皮;废报纸可以用来练习写毛笔字和画国画;有些包装纸，可以做成手工艺品，美化生活。无论是手纸还是餐巾纸，能用手帕代替的就用手帕代替。

2、节约用水金点子

可以把用过的但相对比较干净的水冲马桶、擦地板或者浇花。用水间歇可以把水龙头关上，避免不必要的浪费。少量的衣服可以用手洗，避免洗衣机洗时使用大量的水。洗澡时，将开头空放的冷水积蓄起来，可以洗衣服或别的用场。家中安装节水水龙头，使用节水马桶。

3、节约用电金点子

在家或在教室，没人或没必要的时候，不开灯、不使用空调;离开房间后随手关灯。同一个房间，在采光良好的情况下，不用开两盏灯。上体育课或不在教室上课时，要关好教室电灯、风扇、电脑等;

4、节约其他能源金点子

少用塑料袋塑料是石油产品，不易分解，埋入土壤中十几年不腐烂。任意处置会造成土壤、河流污染，世界各国正在开展“使用纸口袋”和“可降解塑料袋”的运动。以环保为重，商场少供应塑料袋，顾客自带购物袋，就可以减少塑料垃圾。超市里的塑料袋可以当垃圾袋二度使用。

能坐公交车上下学的，就不用专车接送。去很近的地方办事，就步行或骑自行车去。既环保又锻炼身体。同学们，这些环保金点子，你们喜欢吗?我建议：在班级中开展“节约一滴水、一度电、一张纸，不践踏草坪，不乱扔垃圾，不随地吐痰”等活动。我们可以从身边环保小事做起，从校园做起，以环保公德规范自己的行为。当你扔出瓜皮果壳的时候，请你多走几步路，把它放入垃圾桶;当你走路看见地上纸张的时候，请你弯弯腰，将它捡起来;当你正想随地吐痰时，请你想一想他人的健康，用纸将痰包起扔到垃圾桶……

面对这样的情状，我们究竟应该做些什么，我们究竟可以做些什么，我们究竟要拿什么来挽救我们唯一的家园——地球?

在六十一年前，伦敦，曾经是一座名副其实的雾都。1952年12月5日开始的那场为期四天的浓雾，造成了1.2万人死亡，是和平时期的伦敦遭受的最大灾难。可今天的伦敦，是一座真正的“绿色花园之城”。城区三分之一被森林、花园和公共绿化所覆盖，拥有100个社区花园、14个城市农场、80公里长的运河和50多个长满各种花草的自然保护区。六十一年间，伦敦政府推出交通拥堵费，发展公共交通网络，对高排放高污染的企业征收高额排污税和环境税……伦敦人不懈努力，只为了与雾开战，只为了还自己和脚下这片土地一片纯净的天空。

三年前，在哥本哈根当地时间20xx年12月17日晚，著名演员李冰冰与丹麦著名男演员Ken共同主持了“地球一小时哥本哈根之夜”活动。李冰冰被誉为“中国最美丽的环保名片”，她在环保上面很注意细节，比如住酒店自带牙刷、拖鞋等等。她认为，环保就是积累变绿的过程;我们的行动，就是我们的选择。她相信每个小行动的集合，意味着保护环境家园的大跨越。
